SURFING

We regularly provide surf lessons at Welligama beach, including board hire, for all levels. Welligama's two kilometre stretch of shallow sandy beach is ideal for beginners and less experienced surfers, it is one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka to catch your first wave. Reef breaks for more advanced surfers can be found nearby in Mirissa 3 km south, or Gurubebila 3km north. 

Early morning "wake up" sessions are popular, and we can cater for large groups. These can be booked with us in advance or as you go.  

We can also arrange surf tours, along the coast, with picnics.

The fantastic instructors at Loku Lucky's surf school run our sessions and give us priority bookings for our guests. Loku's brother D A Lucky is The Red Bull "Ride my Wave" champion 2016, and this is by far the best, and happiest surf school in Welligama.

YOGA

Bandara Watte really is the perfect location for yoga, and we love hosting sessions for our guests when requested. These classes are best booked beforehand, so that we can tailor your session to your needs. Pop up sessions can also be arranged during your stay but are dependant upon teacher availability.

We are lucky enough to have the wonderful team at Sri Yoga Shala to run our private sessions for us here at Bandara Watte.
