The house

There are three en suite bedrooms, and three reception rooms. it is spacious and Even when the house is bustling, you can always find a quiet spot for reflective moments.

The lane leading to Bandara Watte

Bandara Watte is of significant historical importance locally, as the ancestral Wallauwa for the village, and is set in a  secluded lane which leads only to the rivers edge. The lane begins at the Banyan Tree made famous by the poet Gajaman Nona, and there are various small 'boutiques' along it which sell basic daily provisions and prepared food. There is also a vibrant vegetable market every Wednesday and Saturday, in Denipitya, a short walk down the lane, five minutes from the house. The people who live locally are kind and welcoming, and always interested in travellers and their tales.
